Working with Lifestyle Nutrition and Becca has been the change that I needed in my life! I started with a 5 week challenge in Fall of 2017 and since have continued on with her monthly one on one coaching.
I will say, I was encouraged by a few of my friends to do the challenge, but I didn’t really think it would work for me. Every challenge or diet I had done was filled with deprivation and negative thoughts about certain foods. I was always firmly in the mindset that “I know what to do”, but I would get frustrated because when I did the “right” things, I never seemed to see any progress. So inevitably a few days would pass, and I would backslide to old habits. I let myself get sucked into the mindset of, I’m getting older and maybe I just won’t be able to see the results I want.
During the process, I learned from the power of lifestyle and habits in creating positive change in body composition and almost every facet of my life. I realized some habits that I had been harboring for years, and it took me a while to really get on board with changing them.
As of July 2018, my weight has only reduced by about 7-8 pounds, but my composition has changed tremendously. I reach for clothing that I hadn’t worn in a long time because it just fit a little too snug in areas. I have greater confidence. My performance in the gym has improved, and I’m sleeping the best that I have in as long as I can remember.
My relationship is much more positive with food, which I realize now was a huge missing piece for me. When Becca asks “when was the last time you felt happy with your body”, I used to have a hard time answering, but now I can say without a doubt that right now is the best I’ve felt and the happiest I’ve ever been!
